Steal this Affirmation — You Won’t Regret it
On my desktop wallpaper is a sticky note that reads,
You lack nothing
You have everything you need
More than enough
Those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing. Psalms 34:10
I wrote it on there yesterday and it simply serves as a reminder to look around at all the amazing things and people I have in my life right now.
I say these sentences in moments where I feel like I’m missing something.
I had a good day today.
I began and ended the day with Jesus. Reading my bible and playing Christian music all day allowed me to feel nothing but peace and I really liked it.
I’ve been repeating this phrase all day, “I lack nothing, I have everything I need, more than enough”. This is something that comes to my mind often through the Holy Spirit.
It’s become by new favorite affirmation.
Here’s what this affirmation does for me:
It reminds me that I am not lacking anything and that I am not without anything important.
I woke up with breath in my lungs, a roof over my head, family that loves me, a job to earn money and a car to get me there.
When it comes to my goals or my longings…I remind myself that it is okay to want those things, but I have to remember not to put those things in place of God. I can’t make an idol out of things or people that can’t fulfill me.
I struggle with understanding that I am enough exactly as I am. So for most of my life I’ve been trying to prove exactly that. But I am exactly as I am meant to be…imperfect. Gods strength works best in my weakness. Sure I have insecurities just like the next person, but I’m working through them allowing God to redefine and shape them into something beautiful.
I hear God saying stay close. Stay close to Him. This is how I got all of this insight as I walked through the day. I stayed with God.
That’s all for today. As you can see, today was such a peacefully spiritual day. Thank you God. I pray for another.
I thought I might add a list of songs that I played throughtout the day that you guys might like to listen to.
