I took a break from posting on Medium yesterday so that I could work on my personal statement for my post-bac applications.
Yesterday’s Fun at Home
Yesterday, ma and I worshipped at Elevation Church together which was so much fun. I can’t wait for their new album to come out. Then we went to see Shen Yun, which is a Chinese dance show. It’s was absolutely stunning. I’m really excited for all the new things like this that 2022 has in store. Dance shows like Shen Yun in January and Alvin Ailey in February, I’ll be starting my loc journey in a couple of days, I’m trying some new pampering fun with friends in March, AND I’ll be graduating and moving on to new levels of adulting! Let the fun of 2022 begin.
Today’s Fun at Home
Today, mama and I traveled to visit my wonderful grandfather. I chilled at the house for the most part and had meeting with a really awesome mentor of mine. He gave some advice on how to make my application stronger for the research programs I am applying to. I’m really grateful for the people like him in my life. I want to be an influence to those coming up after me like those who have helped me along the way. Tonight I’ll be working on my research statement, potentially watching a little Annie, and searching the cabinets for something to eat.
